Where app rescue agencies find clients

Founders who built with an AI app builder rarely look for an agency until something breaks. Here are five places agencies find them, what each costs in time, and how to tell which apps are worth a message.

Who needs a rescue

Not every Lovable project is a prospect. Lovable says more than 60 million projects have been created on it, and most never leave the builder. Of the 455,982 Lovable sites on their own domain that we have checked, 85,202 (19%) work like software, with accounts and a dashboard. The rest are brochure pages, company sites and parked domains, and nobody pays to rescue a brochure page.

The best prospects show three things to any visitor: their own domain, a working sign-up and a checkout. A founder with paying users has a reason to fix things properly and the money to do it. In our index 21% of the apps take payments.

Five channels

Freelance marketplaces

Founders post jobs like “fix my Lovable app” on Fiverr and Upwork. The demand comes to you, but you compete on price with every other seller, and you only meet founders who have already decided to hire.

Partner directories of the builders

Lovable and other builders list agencies that work with their platform. A listing brings requests with no outreach. Getting listed takes time, and you share the page with every other partner.

Founder communities

Founders ask for help in the builders' Discord servers, on Reddit and on X when something breaks. Good answers build a name. It depends on being there at the right moment and does not grow beyond the hours you put in.

Writing about the problems

A post about one specific failure, such as a checkout that breaks under load, reaches founders who search for that exact problem. It works for months once it ranks, and it takes months to rank.

Writing to live apps directly

You pick the apps instead of waiting: a category you know, a country you work in, products that already charge money. You need a list of real apps with a way to reach them and a first message worth reading. Most founders will not answer. The ones who do are often in the middle of the problem.

How to qualify an app in two minutes

Stay with what any visitor can see. Do not run scanners against an app or try to get into one you were not invited into: it is illegal in most places and a poor way to start a sales conversation.

What to put in the first message

Write to the address the product publishes for contact. In our index 37% of the apps publish an email address on a domain that accepts mail.
